Transition Network Region 8

TTAN stands for Transition technical Assistance Network. The TNF Region 8, Transition Network Facilitator, Lon Thornburg, and Donna Lowry, TNF/Pre ETS Support Specialist, both work through InterMounatin ESD on a contract with Oregon Department of Education and Oregon Vocational Rehabilitation.

The TNF provides technical assistance to schools for transition subject matter and provides resources, trainings, community agency resource networking for events/fairs, supporting state-wide funding and grant opportunities for local districts and collaborates with county partner agencies to assist in Employment First teams.

Region 8 services cover Morrow, Umatilla, Union, Baker, Malheur, Wallowa, Baker, Grant and Harney Counties.

The TNF/Pre ETS Support Specialist supports the TNF activities as well as delivering Pre Employment Transition Services through vocational rehabilitation directly to students that request services. Group or individual services can be requested for driver's permit trainings, food handler card trainings, etc.
